The Retrouvius design studio turns respectfully re-used materials to distinctive, contemporary ends. Taking only a few projects each year, in properties ranging from contemporary penthouse to medieval priory, yacht to boutique, each is attentively tailored to the evolving needs of the client as well as the demands of the site.

A society for head gardeners, garden managers and those engaged in horticulture, employed within private gardens (and establishments run in a similar way). It maintains close links with other related organisations.

The PGG organises national and regional meetings throughout the year, in all parts of the country, for members and their guests. Meetings are informal gatherings of between 20 and 100 members; the object of the day is not only to look round the garden or gardens hosting the meeting but also to meet other members, to exchange views, ideas, information and plants. Plant Heritage aims:

- To conserve our horticultural heritage by keeping living examples of all garden-worthy plants in National Plant Collections® or with Plant Guardians®
- To identify cultivars at the highest risk of extinction, with the ambition that these can be conserved. We do this through our Threatened Plants Programme™
- To document and record collections of rare plants. This is done by our National Collection holders and in our publications such as the Directory, The Journal, and through our online plant recording database Persephone
- To document on Persephone, the details and location of the rare plants held by our Plant Guardians®
- To increase the variety of garden plants available for gardens in the UK through supporting and undertaking group propagation activities and plant sales
- To share rare plants with gardeners across the UK, though our annual Plant Exchange™
- To ensure rare plants and collections are supported in perpetuity (for future generations)
- To support Plant Guardians and National Collection holders in their conservation work
- To educate the public in the importance of our work
- To work in partnership with organisations that can support our objectives

The Arboricultural Association is a world-leading authority on arboricultural best practice and is recognised by Defra as the voice of arboriculture. The association delivers professional standards and guidance, conferences, training and seminars. It also publishes a range of journals, leaflets and newsletters.

Of particular importance is the publication of an annual updated directory, the Directory of Approved Contractors and Registered Consultants. Rigorous standards of assessment are applied to anyone who qualifies to be entered in either directory.

The association manages the annual ARB show in June and conference in September.
