The practice was started in 1988 by James Slater FRICS. It quickly established itself as a well-respected traditional surveying and design practice, with a particular expertise in heritage construction, conservation and vernacular architecture.
Over the years we have worked with a wide range of clients, ranging from private families, schools and colleges, stately homes and estates and local businesses. The office is based in the heart of Cirencester, with a team of professionals keen on building on this legacy and adapting our services to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century. James Slater & Co are renowned specialists in the conservation and repair of historic buildings and bring a considered and pragmatic approach to dealing with listed properties. The team has now grown to include chartered surveyors, architectural designers, project managers, architectural technicians and conservation specialists able to provide the full range of property services including planning, listed building consent and project management of construction projects. The main office is based in the heart of Cirencester and covers the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. The practice has also opened a satellite office, covering Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Welsh Borders, with a team of professionals keen on building on this legacy and adapting its services to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century. |
