Maarten Robert started his career 50 years ago as a carver and sculptor at the Studio for Restauration ‘Uilenburg’ in Amsterdam. Apprenticeship 1970-1975. He continues to work on an extensive oeuvre to this day, in the Netherlands and abroad.
Nature of work - Commissions for restoration and reconstruction of carvings for both interior and exterior. Commissions for design and implementation of sculpture in wood for individuals and public institutions. In addition, he has developed his free work, distinctly inspired by the classical examples of his illustrious predecessors. Portraits are his great love. And picture frames. |
