Ernest Barnes Ltd has over thirty five years of experience undertaking specialist brick and flint repairs to historic buildings. We are committed to conserving the historic environment and have an exceptional level of knowledge, skills and experience in this field. Our team of Master Craftsmen use traditional materials and techniques to maintain, repair and conserve historic brick and flintwork.
We pride ourselves in our ability to interpret brick and flint buildings, to understand their historical significance, and to apply appropriate conservation philosophies. We strongly believe in the philosophy of minimum intervention and aim to retain as much of the historic fabric as possible.
Our portfolio of projects is extensive and covers a wide range of building types that encompasses over 500 years of architectural history. Our clients include the National Trust, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Donnington Hospital Trust, The Bedford Estates, Parish Councils, Local Authorities, and owners of listed and period properties.
