DESCRIPTION:The Victorian Society and Yale University Press are pleased to introduce a series of online talks by authors of recent or imminent volumes from all four of the national series, plus the Isle of Man. Our second talk takes us to Wales.\n\nFinding Wales: Taking the Pevsner series into western Wales\n\nJ﻿ulian Orbach discusses his work on placing Welsh architectural heritage in Pevsner's works in the area.\n\nJulian Orbach was Architectural Advisor to the Victorian Society in 1975-7, was involved in listing historic buildings in England and then in Wales from 1987, where he was recruited as a co-author for the Buildings of Wales volumes for Pembrokeshire 2004, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion 2006 and Gwynedd 2009. He has subsequently revised Pevsner's volumes for S & W Somerset and Wiltshire.\n\nAll attendees will be sent a recording of the talk.
